The contents of this site, including brands, logos, designs, data, product or company names, texts, photographs, images, sounds etc., are protected by intellectual property rights and belong to Mundo-Lab or third-party rights-holders.

No one is authorised to reproduce, commercialise, distribute or use them, in whole or in part, for any purpose whatsoever.
Legal action will be taken in the event of any copying or use of any part of the site.

Limitation of liability

The information on the website is of a general nature. It is not adapted to personal or specific circumstances, and therefore cannot be regarded as personal, professional or legal advice to the user.

Mundo-Lab makes every effort to provide comprehensive, accurate, precise and up-to-date information, but the data provided is nonetheless subject to error. If the information contains inaccuracies or if specific items of data cease to be available on or through the site, Mundo-Lab will do everything possible to remedy this as soon as possible.

However, Mundo-Lab accepts no liability for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the information on this site.

This site is governed by Belgian law. The courts of the judicial district in which Mundo-Lab’s registered office is located have sole jurisdiction in the event of any dispute.

At Mundo-Lab, we attach great importance to your privacy and confidentiality, which is why we process your data with the utmost care and seek to give you as much information about such data processing as possible.

Moreover, in accordance with the Belgian Law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy with respect to the processing of personal data up to 25 May 2018 and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any other law applicable after 25 May 2018:

  • Users must be informed about the collection and processing of their personal data when they use the site and interact with our services.
  • Users whose data has been collected have the right to consult this data and to ask for it to be corrected or, if necessary, deleted.
  • Users may object to the processing of data concerning them.

1. What data do we collect when you use our website?

The data collected is of two types:

  1. Directly identifiable data, i.e. data that can be used to identify you specifically. Such data is provided exclusively by you yourself when you use our services:
    • The contact forms on the site: This data is only kept in the context of an email exchange. If the contact results in collaboration with Mundo-Lab, the data is kept in the Mundo-Lab address book for customer management purposes.
    • The newsletter subscription forms: This data is kept in a database at the email provider Mailchimp, exclusively for the purposes of sending the newsletter and exchanging emails. It is kept until the user unsubscribes from the newsletter. (The option to unsubscribe is provided at the bottom of each newsletter)
    • Questionnaires for reservations, exchanges of information and appointments: This data is only kept in the context of an email exchange. If the contact results in collaboration with Mundo-Lab, the data is kept in the Mundo-Lab address book for customer management purposes.
  1. Data that is not personally identifiable, i.e. data that is about you, but that cannot be used to identify you specifically:
    • The IP address that is registered when you visit the site, but that is replaced whenever you log on again and must be combined with other third-party information to identify you.

A cookie is a small file that is placed by a website’s server in the browser of your computer or mobile device when you visit that website. Cookies cannot be used to identify individuals. A cookie can only identify a machine.

‘Functional’ cookies are technical cookies that are used by the site that is visited and whose purpose is to make the site work optimally. Example: settings selected by the user during previous visits to the site, or a form pre-filled with data communicated by the user during previous visits.

2. How do we collect this data?

During any interaction you may have with our website (owned by Mundo-Lab), we collect information in two possible ways:

  1. You give us your data directly:
    • By contacting us via the contact forms on the site.
    • By subscribing to the newsletter via the registration forms for this purpose.
    • By placing an order or making a payment in the e-shop via the account creation forms.
    • By answering questions, responding to a survey or making an appointment via the questionnaires for reservations, exchanges of information and appointments.
  1. Data is collected automatically during your visit: This is done by means of the functional and/or statistical and marketing cookies that you have authorised.

At present, whenever you use a website, information is generated and automatically recorded by computer systems in order to ensure the functioning of the site.

These cookies may be ‘session cookies’ (which last until you close your browser) or ‘persistent cookies’ (which last until they are deleted by you or your browser).

3. Why do we collect this data?

Mundo-Lab collects and processes customers’ personal data for various purposes:

  1. Directly identifiable data collected through:
  • The contact forms on the site: This data is kept in the context of an email exchange. (Exchange of information, collaboration, etc.)
  • The newsletter subscription forms: This data is stored for the purposes of sending the newsletter and exchanging emails.
  • The forms for booking a meeting room: This data is used for order management and stored for customer management and order tracking purposes.
  • Questionnaires for reservations, exchanges of information and appointments: This data is only kept in the context of an email exchange. (Exchange of information, collaboration, etc.)
  1. Data that is not personally identifiable (IP address and cookies) is used to ensure that the site functions optimally, according to your preferences.

4. Where is the data stored and for how long?

The data is stored on the WP Engine servers and processed by the features made available by the Cobea cooperative (the owner and manager of the WP Engine which hosts this site) in Belgium.
It will be kept for the period necessary to meet legal requirements.

The data in question is collected through:

  • The contact forms on the site: If the contact results in collaboration with Mundo-Lab, the data is kept in the Mundo-Lab address book for customer management purposes.
  • The newsletter subscription forms: This data is kept in a database at the email provider Mailchimp. It is kept until the user unsubscribes from the newsletter. (The option to unsubscribe is provided at the bottom of each newsletter)
  • The forms for booking a room: This data is kept for customer management, order tracking and accounting purposes, until the user requests its deletion.
  • Questionnaires for reservations, exchanges of information and appointments: If the contact results in collaboration with Mundo-Lab, the data is kept in the Mundo-Lab address book for customer management purposes.

5. Who do we share this data with?

If this is necessary to achieve the objectives we have set, the customer’s personal data will be shared within the European Economic Area with other companies (in the Mundo-Lab group or otherwise) that are directly or indirectly linked to Mundo-Lab or any other partner of Mundo-Lab.

Mundo-Lab guarantees that these beneficiaries take the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

The data in question is that collected through the forms for booking a room: We share your information externally with our main service-providers, namely the payment system provider and the booking platform.

We may also share this data with our accounting partner with a view to keeping our accounts properly.

External sharing with partners other than these service-providers will only take place after we have obtained your consent. This includes our marketing partners and social media partners.

6. How do we protect your data in our possession?

As long as your information is in our possession, we will keep it all up to date and protect it using appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access.

7. What choices and options do you have for checking your data?

The customer has the right to consult his/her personal data at any time and may correct it (or have it corrected) if it is inaccurate or incomplete, have it deleted, restrict its processing or object to the processing of personal data about him/her, including profiling based on these provisions.
The customer also has the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format) of his/her personal data and to have the personal data sent to another company.

In order to exercise the above rights, the customer is asked to:

  • adapt his/her contact details him-/herself;

8. What we will never do with your data?

We will never sell your information without your consent.

We will not share your information with a third-party advertiser or with advertising networks: we do not currently display the ads of any third-party advertisers on our website, and even if we did, we would refuse to share your personally identifiable information with any third-party advertisers or advertising networks.
