IFM-SEI are hosting a 1-day event on how youth organisations and NGOs can prosper in increasingly challenging situations with issues such as lack of funding, staff retention, and managing volunteers. We will present solutions based on best practices from a worldwide consortium of youth organisations and offer tools to help address these issues internally.
However, we believe internal strategies are not enough. That’s why we also want to elevate the conversation to the institutional and political levels, and advocate for policy changes, especially in relation to funding. There will be presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
This event is part of the EYF-funded project “Shaping the future: Strengthening resilience in youth NGOs”, a project aiming at bringing together NGOs, youth organisations and institutions to shed light on the common challenges they face, and collectively create solutions.
The main objective of this project is to equip NGOs and youth organisations with the skills and knowledge needed to manage internal crises, build stronger organisational structures and ensure the long-term survival of their NGOs.
