The Amazon region of Bolivia is more than a biodiversity hotspot.
It is also a front line for the emerging challenge of planetary health, where the health of ecosystems, humans, and communities converge.
A new policy brief and documentary developed by ISGlobal, Medicus Mundi Mediterrània and local partners highlight how deforestation around Riberalta (Bolivian Amazon) affects health, food security and livelihoods — and invite fresh engagement from the EU–Latin America policy space.
